About me

"Jade’s presence is steady and intentional. She listens with depth. Rooted in her lived experiences as a mother, educator, and woman shaped by her communities, she holds space in a way that makes you feel both seen and supported." -Kayla Hamilton, DWB Co-Director

Jade Charon Robertson is an interdisciplinary artist, researcher, performer, and educator whose work spans dance film, media, live performance, and community engagement. Her practice is grounded in ministry and cultural work, where she approaches dance as both a creative discipline and a tool for healing, inquiry, and intergenerational dialogue. Working at the intersection of movement and creative technologies, Robertson explores themes of Black futurity and intercession—bridging memory, spirituality, and reimagined futures. She understands artistic practice as a space for critical reflection and transformation, where the body becomes a site of knowledge, connection, and possibility.
