"i "- Inspired by the Black Arts Movement, this movement and community empowerment workshop fuses Black contemporary dance and rhythmic studies from the African Diaspora. Dancers are taken on a journey to investigate their individual ancestry and their contribution to the collective advancement of our society. This workshops asks, "Who are WE?" Participants define, re-define, and reaffirm themselves as dancers and humans. Along with dance, this workshop includes elements of film, writing and conversations. Dancers should come to the workshop prepared to dance , write, and connect.
